A Life Changing Near Death Experience

Derek found himself lying in an emergency room; IV’s in his arms after almost dying from an overdose. The doctor told Derek he was lucky to be alive, but Derek didn’t feel that was the case. He was in a dark place, but it didn’t end there. Derek dug in deeper, tried harder and experienced some changes. It was just not enough…
Lost Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually
Diving in a coral reef in Jamaica, Derek prayed to get lost from everything above. Derek did get lost, not in the way he wanted, but trapped amongst dangerous spiked coral and jellyfish. “I knew nobody was coming to rescue me because no one knew I was there.”
Thinking this was it; life on review with no way out, Derek had a flash of completion. Washed to a standing position, looking down into the place he had just been trapped, Derek realized it was a metaphor for his life. Stuck, gasping, drowning all leading up to a moment of surrender. That “coral reef” experience led to an epiphany…
Like Trying to Dig Yourself Out of a Deep, Dark Hole
The feeling of lack, all the resistance, was creating the suffering. The more you dig, the more you resist, the deeper into the hole you go. Pulling out of society, Derek went on an inner journey to connect with the “new” self he had discovered.
“Just as the oak is already in the acorn, and the acorn doesn’t go out and improve itself into an oak, or attract an oak, or achieve an oak or become worthy of an oak…When it surrenders to the soil, and the conditions match the pattern in the seed, that which is already inherent in it, fully emerges.”
The Law of Emergence- “When we surrender to the soil of our soul and create the conditions in our inner and outer lives that match the perfect pattern that was planted there, before we were planted in our Mother’s womb, it begins to emerge in our life. “

How do I Practically Apply the Law of Emergence to My Life?
Ask: What do I have to offer? It is not about a lack of resources, but a lack of resourcefulness. (Possible Tweetable) To be full of, connected to source again. Be a generator of energy, of gifts, of compassion.
Engineering The Law of Emergence:
• See the vision for your life
• Start with your desire and give yourself permission to live the life you want
• Define and describe your vision
• Create a plan of inner and outer strategies
Ask: How would I feel if I were living this vision? Who would I be if I were living this vision?
Begin to bring that excellence, service and generosity to where you are right now. Be congruent with the life you desire. Live your vision to the best of your ability in your present circumstances. Don’t wait. It is like tuning into a broadcast already in progress!
